A truly wonderful series by a truly great writer. All too often Gargoyles writers try and turn Demona's point of view on humanity around way to quickly but not in this series! It all starts with a surprising new friendship between Dominique Destine (Demona) and her new Personal Assistant Darice Suarez comes into being and grow slowly, through shared pain and joy, into romance.
The relationship between her and Darice grows slowly and believably. It also deals with some very disturbing subject matter (rape in one case, homophobia in others) but it is handled in a respectful and insightful way.
This series doesn't just deal with the D/D relationship, it has a great deal of side stories focusing on the other Gargoyles characters as well as some new and not so new characters. It is still going strong and I for one hope it continues for a long time.
(Oh and the series doesn't have an official title but I always thought of it as the Double D's)
